Benefits of EB-5 for Wealthy Clients

There are many benefits of EB-5 for holders.

To start with, you only need one application for your entire family.

  • The EB-5 visa includes your spouse and your unmarried children under the age of 21.
  • They will all gain the exact same rights as you, the EB-5 visa holder.
  • They will be able to live, work and retire anywhere in the U.S. regardless of where the investment project is located.

There will be no travel restrictions for you or your family between the U.S. and your home country.

  • This opens up new opportunities for your family that may not be an option in your home country.
  • With the EB-5 your family can live, work, and travel freely to anywhere in the United States.
  • Your children can attend U.S. schools, colleges and universities.
  • Additionally, you’ll have the same benefit of in-state tuition costs as U.S. citizens.

The EB-5 application does not have requirements on age, English proficiency, employment experience, extraordinary ability, sponsorship, or education.

  • The only requirements are job creation and an initial amount of capital investment, which is 1 million for a commercial enterprise in a city or $500,000 for a commercial enterprise in rural area or high-unemployment area.

There is no requirement that the EB-5 applicant manage the day-to-day operations or employee management if investing in a regional center.

  • In fact, if affiliated with a regional center, the EB-5 investor may take on an advisory role and become a limited partner.
  • You can also take on a more diverse investment portfolio in the U.S. because a regional center has no requirements that live where the investment is.

After two years, the conditions on the green card will be removed, if the minimum number of jobs created is fulfilled, and you and your family will receive permanent residency.

  • After 5 years, you have the option to become a citizen.

The last benefit of EB-5 is that currently there is no waiting list or backlog in the application process.

  • The rate of approval for the EB-5 visa is high.
