EB-5 Program

Will EB-5 Be Reauthorized On January 19, 2018?

Will EB-5 be reauthorized on January 19, 2018?

Will EB-5 be reauthorized for the long term? What does the visa program’s future hold?

It appears that EB-5 will be reauthorized with the Continuing Resolution, a measure to provide government funding. Without it, the government will shutdown. The stop-gap measure is expected to extend the funding through February 16.

What does this mean for the future of EB-5? At the moment, Congress has a lot on their plate with immigration issues. This extension likely will not include any reforms to the EB-5 Program, however, we may see reforms and a long-term authorization in the near future.
