Latest I-526 Petition Historical National Average Processing Times

The latest I-526 petition historical national average processing times for FY 2020 is from October 1, 2019 through August 31, 2020 and is now 14.1 months.

Prior to the latest update the historical national average processing times for the I-526 petition was 12.9 months. While this processing time increased slightly, it’s still a much shorter length of time than the estimated time range predicted on the case processing times page on USCIS.

The estimated time range for the I-526, Immigrant Petition by Alien Investor, at the Immigrant Investor Program Office, is currently 33.5 months to 60 months.

Broken down further, the specific estimated time range for applicants from Mainland China is 47 months – 76.5 months.

For all other areas, the estimated time range is 30 months – 49.5 months.

How do you read those estimated time ranges? According to USCIS, the first number in the range is the time it takes to complete 50% of cases and the second number is the time it takes to complete 93% of cases.
