The EB-5 Program processing time for the I-526 Immigrant Petition by Alien Entrepreneur increased sharply at the Immigrant Investor Program Office (IPO).
The latest estimated time range for the I-526 petition is listed as 46 months to 74.5 months.
This is an increase from the 29.5 months to 61 months listed as the processing time for the I-526 Petition at IPO just one month ago.
The current receipt date for a case inquiry is May 15, 2014. This date has been pushed back from May 29, 2015, which was listed as the receipt date for a I-526 petition case inquiry just one month ago.
These new processing times show a major slowdown at the IPO, but that may not necessarily be the case. It appears as though they are trying to discourage applicants from filing inquiries and even possible litigation by attempting to appear as though they are working on much older cases.
Another note, USCIS does not update processing times based on the new visa availability approach. Instead they simply state that they will sometime in the future.
USCIS has unfortunately spent their time and efforts changing their website and updating their layout. To check your processing times, you’ll need to now scroll down the page and find, “Manage Your Case” on the right side and where “Check processing times” is listed underneath as link.

We still have the historic average processing time “13.5 months” for the period from October 1, 2019 to May 31, 2020.
Any explanation?
