The estimated time range for Mainland Chinese investor: 49 months – 52.5 months
The estimated time range for investors from all other areas: 27.5 months – 40.5 months
Historical national average processing time: 14.1 months
Note: According to Charles Oppenheim, Chief of the Visa Control and Reporting Division at the U.S. Department of State, during the November 2020, IIUSA EB-5 discussion, Hong Kong would be treated as a separate foreign state from Mainland China for EB-5.
I-829 | Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions on Permanent Resident Status
The estimated time range is 33 months – 59 months.
Historical national average processing time: 37.2 months
I-924 | Application for Regional Center Designation Under the Immigrant Investor Program
The estimated time range is 52.5 months to 56 months.
Historical national average processing time: 22.8 months
Note: The number of USCIS approved regional centers continues to decline. As of November 3, there are 674 USCIS approved regional centers. USCIS approval does not mean that these regional centers endorsed by USCIS and it’s a burden of the investor to conduct due diligence into any regional center and EB-5 project they may select.
