What is the value of the EB-5 visa? Why select this type of visa? Here’s a breakdown of the EB-5 Program and what helps make it beneficial to foreign nationals.
How can a foreign national obtain an EB-5 visa?
Eligible foreign nationals who invest $500,000 into a job-creating U.S. new commercial enterprise may qualify to receive an EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program visa. A foreign national’s spouse and unmarried children under the age of 21 years may also qualify to receive EB-5 visas under the principal investor’s application.
Why select an EB-5 visa over the other visa categories?
The EB-5 visa has no language, education, management, or skill requirements in order to qualify. It also does not require an employer sponsor.
Once an EB-5 investor receives their visa they will have conditional permanent U.S. residency allowing them to live and work anywhere in the U.S. while they fulfill the EB-5 Program requirements. Once the investor has fulfilled their EB-5 requirements and had their I-829 Petition approved, they will receive unconditional permanent residency. With an EB-5 visa, they will not be limited by where they attend school, what they study, where they live, who they work for, or what industry they work in.
