What Are The Total Costs Of An EB-5 Visa?

What are the total costs of an EB-5 visa?

It’s common to hear that an EB-5 visa costs $500,000 if you invest in a TEA project, or $1,000,000 if you invest in a non-TEA project, but what about all the other fees cost?

In addition to the cost of the $500,000 capital investment, there’s roughly $75,000 to $85,000 miscellaneous fees. So get a real understanding of what the total cost of an EB-5 visa is, you have to know what all the other added fees will cost. Here’s a breakdown of roughly the total costs of an EB-5 visa:

  • The cost of the capital investment into the new commercial enterprise $500,000 (or $1,000,000)
  • Regional center administration fees $40,000-$50,000
  • Immigration attorney fees $10,000-$15,000
  • I-526 Petition filing fee $3,675
  • I-485 Petition filing fee $1,140
  • I-829 Petition filing fee $3,750
  • USCIS biometric fees $85 (plus $85 for each additional family member)
  • Wiring Fees $225

Grand total can be anywhere from roughly $558,875-$573,875. So, in addition to the minimum capital investment amount, investors are looking at anywhere from $58,875 to $73,875 in extra fees that they will need to account for when investing in the EB-5 Program.
